Originally the shipping container repair industry in Malta relied on recruited shipwright and engineers from the docks, however, with the demise of the docks in key areas specialised container repairers were getting more difficult to find. Container Repairs & Marine Logistics Malta was set up precisely to cater for this demand.
A good container repairer must know how to weld, handle acetylene cutting equipment and also have fabrication and carpentry skills.
Repairers must also be versed in ISO, location, repair and damage codes, whilst all repairs must be completed within the legislations of the industry, CSC and IICL.
All guidelines must be adhered to as the quality of the repair is crucial to the protection of the goods and investment stored inside.
Malta is a small island state in the middle of the Meditteranean Sea. It lies 80 km (50 miles) South of Italy, 284 km (176 miles) east of Tunisia, and 333 km (207 miles) north of Libya. Its geographical position places Malta, ( the latter bearing a very well based hub for the maritime Industry), off the main Mediterranean sea-route between Gibraltar and the Suez Canal.
